Closely related to Kahuna massage, Lomi Lomi uses luscious, flowing bodywork as a portal to release what we hold but no longer wish to carry.​ It nurtures the body and being into such deep bliss that all contraction can soften. In this state of complete safety, the nervous system stops resisting life, and the energy field becomes fluid and spacious.

In these sessions we drop so fully into embodiment and softness that what no longer serves us can slip away with ease. This is the essence of Ho‘oponopono - gratitude and reconciliation with where we are, what we are and what we want to be.

Careful, deep manipulation of tissues, fascia systems, and the organs they protect leaves the body feeling loose, open, and at ease in the world. Lomi Lomi uses long, flowing strokes that echo the movements of the ocean, guiding the body back into the natural pulse of life. Practitioners use primarily their forearms, creating a deep compression that clears the lymphatic system and expels knots. There is very little time when the practitioner is not touching the body. It is not a "shoulders, pause, legs, pause" kind of movement but rather a full body, non-stop flow that is so soothing, it forces one to stop thinking and really feel.

These sessions melt tension with long, effective movements. On cold days, sessions are done on a heated bed with winter sheets, a blanket and an oil heater to make the space cosy. On warmer days the session takes place with a sarong, and clients lie directly on the bed so we can do under-body movements (a much-loved fav).

Pro tip: Ask for a belly healing to be included. This emotional and fragile bit of the body brings deep release when massaged with care. If you experience IBS, bloating or emotional overwhelm, I cannot recommend this more.
